MAC takes pride in delivering classes in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, focusing on your strengths to help you grow your confidence. You will learn in a small group of 12-16 students. MAC courses are full time (3 days per week). No previous experience is required and there are no formal entry requirements. You will be invited to meet your tutors, so together, you can assess your suitability for the course.
MAC especially welcomes applications from students who have been unable to access similar opportunities elsewhere, are at risk of social exclusion, and are not in education, training or employment.
• MAC courses are available to anyone between 16-25 years old.
• Attendance of 90% and above is instrumental to successfully complete the course.
• Students at MAC also have the opportunity to undertake essential skills qualifications in numeracy and literacy.

The Media Skills & Content Creation is a BTEC Diploma delivered by Media Academy Cymru (MAC), at Barry Campus.
This practical course introduces students to the key areas of the creative media sector. The programme comprises of 10 modules, which involves learning about: Design, Photography, Video, Animation, Audio Production, Multimedia, Filmmaking; Editing; Web Design; Photoshop and Camera Skills, including how to use professional equipment & software. We will focus on developing students’ abilities to create unique media products like music videos, podcasts, animated films, photo exhibitions, advertisements and websites.
Successful completion leads to a diploma in Digital Media, equivalent to 3 GCSEs (Grades D-G).
